Souper Bowl of Caring: This Sunday (2/3) is Super Bowl Sunday, so it's time again for the Souper Bowl of Caring! We'll be asking the congregation for a donation of $1 per person or one food item to be given to East Cooper Meals on Wheels and The Table ministry at Hibben. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to collect donations after each worship service. If you can help at the 8:15am service, please plan to arrive at Elizabeth's office at 8:50am.
UMYF schedule: Please note we will not have UMYF this Sunday (2/3), but we will meet from 6-8pm on 2/10. Enjoy the Super Bowl!
Palm Sunday Handbells: Amy McCurley and I are seeking 11 people to play in a youth handbell choir on Palm Sunday, March 24. Practices will be held during Sunday School hour (9:15 - 10:15am) on 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, and 3/17. If you are interested in participating, please compare this practice schedule with your personal calendar, as it is imperative that all members be present for all practices. This is a great chance for Hibben's youth to lead the congregation in worship and celebration! If you have questions or are interested in this opportunity, please e-mail Elizabeth (econnell@hibbenumc.org).
Revolution 2013: There is still space for YOU at Revolution! We're headed to Columbia, Feb. 15-17 to join youth from across SC and be energized, encouraged, and challenged. Cost per person is $120.00 (FULL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE) and includes hotel, transportation, event tickets, and 2 meals. You will need spending money for 2 dinners and 2 lunches, plus any optional souvenirs. A nonrefundable deposit of $55.00 is due NOW! Contact Elizabeth with questions: econnell@hibbenumc.org

SALKEHATCHIE 2013! It's time to start thinking about summer plans, and that means it's time for SALKEHATCHIE! The website (www.salkehatchie.org) has been updated with 2013 camp dates and the necessary application forms. Hibben will once again plan to send a group to the Lexington camp, happening July 13-20. You will notice that there are camps throughout the state, throughout the summer, so if another date or location piques your interest, feel free to strike out on your own. Applications can be printed by clicking here: http://www.salkehatchie.org/home/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Application-2013.pdf
Please plan to complete your application and mail it, with your payment, to the state office listed at the bottom of the form. Then, notify Elizabeth via e-mail of the camp you plan to attend (econnell@hibbenumc.org). FULL or PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE from Hibben. Do NOT let money stand in the way of your experiencing this incredible, powerful, life-changing week. Contact Elizabeth with questions!
